To play some instruments such as Grand Rhapsody Piano or Bass Slapper, you must download and install at least one of the sample libraries (HD or SD) in addition to the plugin/application. Other Waves instruments are installed with their SD sample library.

Sampled from the Fazioli F228 grand piano housed at London’s Metropolis Studios – the very piano played on Grammy-winning hits such as Adele’s “Hello.”

Installation Instructions

After you have downloaded the libraries (SD, HD, or both) follow these steps:

Extract the sample library/libraries to the desired location.
Mac users are advised to use Archive Utility (right-click the file and choose to open with Archive Utility).

Launch/Load the Grand Rhapsody piano, either as a plugin or as a standalone application.

When prompted to “Please locate your Waves instrument’s Sample Library folder,” navigate to the location where you’ve extracted your sample library and click OK. This path will be saved with the plugin preferences.

Information about the samples folder is shown in the WaveSystem toolbar:

To select a different sample library, click on the Sample Library bar and navigate to the desired folder. The folder must contain valid Waves sampled instrument files with the wsf resource, otherwise the OK button will be grayed out. Your new selection will replace the existing folder location preference.
